Coach Andre Whyte Introduction
Introducing Andre Whyte, a 34-year-old Staten Island, New York native, and the newly appointed Defensive Coordinator for the Diosd Saints. Andre‘s football journey commenced at Bryant University, where he excelled as a strong safety in Division 1 football. Following graduation, he embarked on an extensive playing career in Europe, starting in Prague, Czech Republic, achieving consecutive national championships and competing in the IFAF tournament.
Andre‘s football odyssey continued with three seasons in Warsaw, Poland, followed by a championship-winning stint in Istanbul, Turkey. He then spent four seasons split between Miskolc, Hungary, and Tokyo, Japan, until the global pandemic temporarily halted his playing career. During this challenging period, Andre successfully transitioned into coaching, initially guiding university teams in Istanbul. He later returned to Europe to coach the linebackers for the Fehervar Enthroners in their inaugural season in the ELF.
With a wealth of experience playing on both offense and defense at a high level, Andre brings a diverse and comprehensive understanding of the game to coaching. Now, as the new DC for the Diosd Saints, he is eager to share his passion and knowledge with both young and veteran players alike. Andre‘s goal is to instill confidence, foster a strong team culture, and contribute to the growth and success of the Diosd Saints. Excited about this coaching journey, Andre looks forward to a successful season ahead.
